Hello, my name is Casey Dillahay and I am an Advisor Specialist at the Mueller campus. You may recognize me as I worked at the Mueller Campus Welcome Desk as a registration assistant prior to becoming an advisor. It was such a privilege to help so many students begin their educational journey with IRSC in that role. In my position as an advisor I have the opportunity to help students move along the path to reaching their academic and career goals.
I was born and raised in beautiful Colorado, but decided I was done with the snow and moved to Vero Beach where my husband grew up. In 2009, after staying home for eleven years with our three children, I was encouraged to by my husband to finish the degree I started back in 1997. Returning to school after a twelve year hiatus was not easy, especially on top of raising my children. I wasn’t confident but I was determined and had the support of my family. In 2011 I earned my Associate of Arts from Northeastern Iowa Community College. With that AA I was able to get a position at IRSC, where I was encouraged to finish my bachelor’s degree. I’m so proud to say that I completed my degree in Public Administration: Public Policy and Leadership from IRSC in 2018.
Continuing your education is not always easy, but it is always worth it and I am here to help you discover the best way for you to reach your goals. As your assigned advisor, I will help you customize your Academic Plan/Guided Pathway. We will meet regularly to be sure you’re staying on your pathway and I’ll be here to provide the encouragement and assistance you need. Please feel free to reach out to me to let me know how I can help you.
